Luke 21:19

Observation

I will not gain eternal life without a fight. Obstacles and difficulties will come, and I must persevere through them to gain real life.

Application

I will not be surprised, distracted or dismayed over troubles that come my way. I know they are coming and I am prepared (and am continually preparing) to meet them with Jesus’ help.

Prayer

Lord, I ask for the strength for endurance that can only come from Your Spirit. Help me to recognize adversity as an opportunity to develop my endurance. Thank you for equipping me to gain full salvation through You.
