Streater identifies seven different myths that we are prone to believe. Through the use of humour and real life examples Streater exposes the lies behind these myths and then equips the reader with Biblical truth.

If you are expecting a detailed, step by step guide as to how to manage your finances you won’t find it here. Instead you will find something a little more foundational, and possibly even more important. While some practical, and elementary, steps to proper financial management are addressed at the end of the book, the emphasis throughout is on developing a proper perspective about money. This book fills a unique gap in teaching the reader how to recognize certain specific lies that are all too commonly accepted. If someone were to have all the technical steps of money management mastered, but believe some of the myths that the author exposes in this book, they would be on shaky financial ground.

This is a book I wish I had read years ago. It is practical, relevant and refreshing. I encourage you to get a copy today and start thinking about your money God’s way.

How Now Shall We Live

Recommended Reading

Worldview

culture
<guid

It is also a worldview that not only answers life’s basic questions–Where did we come from, and who are we? What has gone wrong with the world? What can we do to fix it?–but also shows us how we should live as a result of those answers. “How Now Shall We Live?” gives Christians the understanding, the confidence, and the tools to confront the world’s bankrupt worldviews and to restore and redeem every aspect of contemporary culture: family, education, ethics, work, law, politics, science, art, music. This book will change every Christian who reads it. It will change the church in the new millennium.

By Charles W.
